Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Upon your arrival at the Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, you will meet our professional driver guide.
He or she will brief you about the 6 Days Uganda Gorillas and Rwanda Dian Fossey hike. You will then embark on the 5-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will make a stopover at the Uganda Equator for an amazing experience. Lunch will be en route. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. The park has over four trails and loops to follow on your game drive. You may take the Ruroko route, the Kigambira loop, or the Rwonyo (salt leak) area. You will meet many zebras, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs, and many species of birds. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. You will meet many Nile crocodiles, fish species, and hippos. Water birds in Lake Mburo are equally amazing. It is also a chance to interact with the local members of the communities. In the late hours of the day, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with a relaxed meal and embark on the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will stop at the Igongo Cultural Center for amazing cultural tours. Hike to the Eclipse Monument and enjoy scenic views of the surrounding areas. Lunch will be along the way. Upon reaching the park, check in to your booked lodge, have dinner, and spend the night over.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking and Batwa Community tour
This is the long-awaited day on your 6 Days Uganda Gorillas and Rwanda Dian Fossey hike. You will have an early breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then start your gorilla trekking adventure with others. Upon meeting a gorilla family, you will spend one hour in their presence. You may take as many photos as you please as long as you follow the photography rules and regulations. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will go for a community walk in the neighboring Batwa communities. These are hospitable and indigenous Africans who are famous dwellers of Africa’s forests. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will cross to Rwanda and visit Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is a famous mountain gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking destination. This time, you will be looking forward to having an amazing Dian Fossey hike the following day. Lunch will be en route. You will check in to your lodge upon arrival. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Dian Fossey Hike and transfer to Kigali – Departure
Start your last day with a delicious breakfast and take on a Dian Fossey hiking tour. Dian Fossey was an American primatologist who spent almost all her life fighting for mountain gorilla conservation. She was killed by poachers and buried in the present Karisoke Research Center. You will encounter animals like mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, bush babies, white colobus monkeys, and multiple bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch.
You will check out and embark on the drive to Kigali. The driver guide will drop you at a hotel of your choice in Kigali or Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight as you may advise. This will mark the end of your amazing 6 Days Uganda Gorillas and Rwanda Dian Fossey hike.
