Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about the 10 days Tanzania wildebeest migration safari. He or she will drive you to Arusha. Check in to your hotel for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park and afternoon game drive

After breakfast, you will check out the hotel and embark on the drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is a famous safari destination in Tanzania and is the third-largest park in the country.

Upon arrival, you will have a delicious lunch and head out for an evening game drive. The game drive will introduce you to large numbers of elephants that dominate the park. You will also spot wildebeests, lions, leopards, and many other wildlife and bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

After breakfast, you will take on full-day game drives in the Serengeti National Park majorly the Seronera region. Serengeti National Park is famous for being home to the world’s greatest animal migration.

During the migration, millions of wildebeests and other herbivores walk through the endless savannah plains in search of water and greener pastures. They are followed by predators like lions, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, and wild dogs. You will have a picnic lunch served by your driver guide under a tree in the middle of nowhere. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 6: Full-day game drives to North Serengeti (Kogatende Region)

After breakfast, you will transfer to the Northern parts of Serengeti National Park close to the Grumeti River and near the border of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara Reserve is an extension of Serengeti National Park. Lunch will be en route. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 7: Full-day game drives in North Serengeti (Kogatende Region)

The 7th day of your 10 days Tanzania wildebeest migration safari belongs to the Kogatende region of Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you will take on game drives in the park.

You will witness the wildebeests crossing either the Grumeti River or the Mara River near Kenya.

The river crossing experience is a dream come true for many travelers who visit Serengeti National Park. large crocodiles await to tear the muscles of wildebeests as they cross to the other side of the river. You may as well meet a pride of lions hunting down a buffalo. A picnic lunch in the savannah is all yours. Dinner and overnight will be at your accommodation facility.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Visit the Oduvai Gorge Museum and see the remains of early man.  A picnic lunch near a water pool will be organized by your guides and lodge. Dinner and overnight to your lodge or tented camp.

Day 10: Transfer to Arusha – Departure
