Day 1: Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum and Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village

Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will meet our professional guide. He or she will brief you about your 5 days Genocide Tour Rwanda Safari. You will embark on a Kigali city tour. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site. Here, you will learn about the 1994 Rwanda Genocide while witnessing the remains of thousands who lost their lives.

You will visit the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village for an amazing adventure. Here, you will visit the local communities, plantations, and participate in local brewing. It is also an opportunity to interact with former poachers. The Village is surrounded by Volcanic mountains, enjoy scenic views.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Dian Fossey Museum

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking. Trekking adventures start with a briefing. You will embark on the walk into the forests of Volcanoes National Park.

The walk will introduce you to the gorillas of Africa. Upon meeting the gorilla family, you will spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas. You will also visit the Dian Fossey Museum. Here, you will learn about the conservation stories of the legendary Dian Fossey. Lunch, Dinner, and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Ntarama Genocide Memorial and Nyamatta Church

After breakfast, you will visit the Nyamatta Church and Ntarama Genocide Memorial Site. These places are famous for the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. You will pay respect to about 4000 people who lost their lives during the Genocide. Read books, and magazines and watch videos of the Rwanda Genocide.

Day 4: King’s Palace Museum

After breakfast, you will embark on a visit to the King’s Palace Museum.

You will take part in the many activities which include the cowboys calling over the royal cattle with singing that calms the cattle making them more docile and friendly. Also, there are many objects of kingship, which include, spears, and drums among others.

Day 5: Departure
