Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our company guide. He will brief you about your 14 days Uganda and Rwanda safari.
You embark on the drive to Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park – Murchison Falls National Park. You will do a rhino tour at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and have an en-route lunch in Masindi town. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on River Nile
Wake up to a delicious breakfast before going for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. You will meet many animals including the big 4 namely; lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will drive to the Nile River and catch a boat cruise. The boat will introduce you to many bird species and hundreds of animals. You will also see Nile crocodiles and as well as hippos. From the bottom of the falls, you will hike until you reach the top of the falls. Take a memorable picture at the top of the world’s strongest waterfalls before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on the drive to Kibale National Park.
The Park is also known as the primate capital of the world since it is home to many primate species like chimps and white colobus monkeys. Lunch will be along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and spend the night over.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland tour
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will enter the forests and start the search for these amazing chimps.
Upon meeting these human-like apes, you will be given one hour to spend in their presence. The park is also home to many bird species dominated by the Rift Valley endemic species. Return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the neighboring communities and walk through the Bigodi Wetland area. It is a reliable area for bird lovers since it is home to some elusive species. The professional bird guides will help you spot and hear some of these magical species. Take part in the daily chores of the locals like brewing beer and dancing. Return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and evening boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The park is Uganda’s most popular safari destination. It is also known for being home to tree-climbing lions.
Upon arrival, you will check in to the lodge and embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is the water body that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. You will encounter birds, animals, and local fishermen. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and take a game drive through the Ishasha sector. The sector is home to the rare tree-climbing lions. Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 9: Golden Monkey trekking and Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village
On the 9th day of your 14 days Uganda Rwanda Safari, you will trek the amazing golden monkeys.
You will start with a morning meal and go to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then go for golden monkey tracking in the forests of Volcanoes National Park. Upon meeting the golden monkeys, you will spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take on a tour of the Gorilla Guardian’s Village also known as the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village. You will take part in their daily activities. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Dian Fossey hike and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, you will go to the briefing center. You will embark on the amazing Dian Fossey grave tour.
Hiking the two volcanoes of Mount Karisimbi and Mount Bisoke is a rewarding experience. You will get up close with mountain gorillas and many other wildlife species. You will also learn about the stories of the great primatologist Dian Fossey. Visit the Karisoke Research Center before returning to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Day 11: Chimpanzee tracking and Canopy walk
You will start your day with a morning meal and go to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then go for chimpanzee tracking in the forests of Nyungwe National Park. Upon meeting the chimps, you will spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take on a canopy walk on the suspended bridge on top of the forest. You will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding areas as well as many bird species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 12: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on the drive to Akagera National Park. Akagera National Park is known for being home to the big 5 animals namely; lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros. Day 13: Explore Akagera National Park and Lake Ihema
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the Akagera National Park.

Day 14: Transfer to Kigali and the city tour – Departure
